Sexistentialist pop libertine, Brad Stank wants you to talk less and love more. Today he announces his debut album Kinky Om to be released on 5th June, 2020.
He also shares new slice Breathing Like a Baby featuring Ryshon Jones. The single captures Brad finding his centre through the spirit guide of creativity, allowing him to process events and massage the pain following the loss of close friends.
Featuring Ryshon Jones, the Philly rapper reached out after hearing one of his earliest tracks O.T.D and the pair found they had much in common: “I acquired the insight of Ryshon, whose voice seemed to fit perfectly with the track sonically. His first line is “the centre is the place,” which hit the nail on the head of what I was trying to say”.
The song was inspired after reading ‘Wake Up’ by Jack Kerouac, a re-telling of the story of the Buddha; “He describes the stillness and innocence of young Siddhartha meditating as ‘breathing like a baby’” says Brad. “I just liked the sound of that phrase and I decided to steal it!”. The track samples Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti who addresses how humans have created God through worship and thought, as Brad explains: “the better part of you IS God, he says, which has been my stance on spirituality for a while”.

The upcoming album Kinky Om sees Brad team up with producer Saam Jafarzadeh (Her’s) for a vibe of future nostalgia paying homage to pioneers such as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield and D’Angelo.
