I Love You is the debut single from Two Blinks, I Love You, the new project from Liam Brown. A direct and earnest view of love, it is honest to feelings both negatively and positively associated. Pulling on yarns of alt-folk from the early 2000s, the track softly meanders through the lo-fi lowlands previously inhabited by The Shins, The Mouldy Peaches and Red House Painters. Pensive and mature, its non-cynical declaration of tenderness, backed by organic instrumentation and birdsong, sets out the Two Blinks stall, where musical simplicity meets high-stakes vulnerability.
