NICE THINGS NOW, ALL THE TIME

For Nice Things Now, All The Time, inspiration came from 70s sci-fi show ‘UFO’, ‘The Flower Fairy’ poems of Cicley Mary Barker, Wands’ 2019 KEXP session, and Fred’s Home Bakery (York). Somehow, it all collides to make for the horizontal headphone listening experience of the year. Shoegaze 2.0. Conjuring everything from internal claustrophobia to giddy psychedelics, the band channel sidewinding guitars and synth swells to arrive at a textural, gothic, avalanche of sound. Lathered in modulated synth and delays, the collection delivers moments of pluming shoegaze grandeur, manic skittish rhythms & pockets of fuzz-folk gorgeousness.
