Stoned, immaculate, astral funkadelia – Germany’s psychedelic three-piece, Sea Moya are always good for a sure-fire piece of aural beauty. This is a collection that wills you to think about places you want to travel, dreams you have and people you want to meet. Inspired by traveling in the back of an old Volkswagen van while driving on lonely roads of the Baltic States, the songs embody the kinetic energy and fluid discovery of a journey. Heading for Latvia’s capital: Riga, the van was too compact to carry a drum kit so before leaving, the group sampled a whole bunch of drum sounds from a family vinyl jazz collection. This domestic crate digging served as the basis for the songs. It’s about literally building a future even though sometimes you have no clue what it’s going to be like.
